Along with my new Bicycle Touring 101 Flag I recently picked up some nice reflective stickers with the Bicycle Touring 101 logo on them.
After decorating my bike and giving some away to a few local friends who have been really helpful in giving me advice and feed back about the web site I decided to think about that other group of special people, the BT101 contributors. I have some extras left over so I've decided to make them available to Bicycle Touring 101 contributors at no charge.
Due to the positive response that I have received from contributors I am going to continue to make stickers available to contributors to the Bicycle Touring 101 web site. Anyone who has either already had their contribution published or who has submitted a contribution that I have accepted and not yet published is eligible. Unfortunately I have to limit the number of stickers to one per contributor.
This offer applies to all contributors regardless of where in the world you are physically located assuming that some form of postage stamp will get the sticker to you.
The sticker is square shaped and is intended to be mounted diagonally as shown in the picture. Each side is 2 inches/5 cm in length.
I would like to propose an idea...
If you like the sticker perhaps you would be willing to mount it on your touring bike's rear fender where hopefully the sticker will improve your visibility and in this way at least a small bit of Bicycle Touring 101 can travel with you during your next bicycle touring adventure! (Of course should you happen to want to drop me an email later telling me where you and the sticker travelled that would be cool too. You would not believe how much of a craving to go touring I get from working on this site every day and your message might just relieve the itch a tiny bit).
If the stickers were larger I would organize some sort of a "Show the sticker" photo contest where the sticker is prominently displayed in pictures from bicycle touring adventures all over the world. It would make for a neat page. Perhaps I will do something similar with the BT101 flags some day.
To request your sticker please provide your name, email address and shipping address using the Contact Us form. I will look up your email address and name against my contributor list. If you have contributed then in a short period of time I will mail you the sticker. Your information will be kept private and in fact will only be used to mail you the sticker.
Special appreciation to Peter Snow Cao from Bike China Adventures Inc for assisting me with the stickers on very short notice.
Thanks again to all the contributors for helping this site to grow!
